In Oklahoma, recreational therapy can only be provided by a board-certified, licensed professional known as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist, CTRS/L.

Statistics gathered from The National Alliance on Mental Illness estimate that one-in-five youth worldwide will experience mental illness before the age of 25. This makes childhood and adolescence a crucial time for the promotion, prevention, and intervention of mental health. As such, the Positive Minds Program will provide students with a safe place to gain knowledge, tools, and resources to bring about positive change in their life. This program can be customized based on your needs.
Corporate Wellness is a self-care group designed to explore the many facets of the employee's role to help them adopt healthy self-care routines. Corporate Wellness implements recreational therapy-based interventions to teach your employees how to properly maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Many corporate employees fight emotional and physical exhaustion on a daily basis, which can be marked by anxiety, depression, and other mental illness. To address these issues, this self-care program will provide your employees with a safe place to gain knowledge, tools, and resources that can be modified to fit their individual needs and bring about positive change.
Our social skills groups are designed around the basis of equipping children and adolescents with the tools to sustain healthy conversation, build friendships, and increase problem-solving skills. Clients can also be expected to learn how to increase emotional self-regulation and value other peoples' perspectives. This service is offered through individualized community integration sessions or groups sessions of eight to 12 children. For groups, clients will be placed based upon age-appropriateness.
Families are often the first to know when something is atypical in the life of a child or significant other with a mental health condition. We facilitate montly educational discussions for caregivers and significant others of those with mental health conditions. During these groups, individuals can expect to learn a variety of coping skills, self-care activities, and community resources--this can also be offered through one-on-one sessions.
We believe every individual should have the opportunity to experience music regardless of their abilities. Our adaptive music lessons are instructed by a board certified music educator and band director. All lessons are individualized and one on one. Students can expect to learn the foundational skills of playing and reading music.
